Although born in Montreal, Canada, Helen spent 25 years living & working in Memphis, Tennessee.  In the summer of 2006, she and her husband moved to Summerville, SC (just outside Charleston, SC), where she now has her studio.

Primarily self-taught, Helen has studied with well known artists around the country.  Her work is prized and owned by corporate and private collectors in the United States and abroad.  Her focus and love is watercolor, because of its transparency and luminosity and its natural tendency toward spontaneity.

Helen is a Past President of the Memphis/Germantown Art League and has participated in numerous art shows around the country.  She says “I happen to love all things old and that fact is definitely reflected in my art.  I enjoy courtyards and fountains, moss on brick walkways and vines on trellises.  I have the pleasure of teaching watercolor, and nothing lifts me quite as much as watching someone move up another level in their own endeavors.  That’s a special feeling for an instructor.  Meanwhile, I continue to learn more about myself as well.  I hope I never stop.”
